Raptors too hot to handle!

Teddington Raptors v. ESPA Tigers

3 - 2

1/2/2020
Bushy Park

A great team performance from the Raptors against a strong ESPA team who were especially good in defence and difficult to break down in windy conditions. The Raptors created multiple chances today and really we could have scored 5!

Samuel Valydon-Hynes scored the Raptors first goal after a goal mouth scramble midway through the first half.

At 2-0 up at half time and with the Raptors creating chance after chance, it looked like the game was done and dusted but there was few more twist an turns! ESPA scores early in the second half to pile the pressure on. The Raptors created multiple chances before ESPA scored against the run of play to make it 2-2

Fair play to the boys as their heads didn’t drop and they continued to plug away! Special mention for Tom Mullins whose deft touches and slide rule passes created several chances for the Raptors today.

Finally the Raptors winning goal came from man of the match hero Lucas Mackenzie. Lucas was used his his blistering pace to bomb down the left wing until he reached the opposition penalty box before calmly slotting the ball home!

The Raptors fully deserved to win today!

COYR!
