Caterham Pumas United vs Teddington Athletic Wolves

25 November 2017

Score 6-1  (H-T 3-1)

After kick-off, Teddington had some great interplay down the left with Finley and Jed, possession of the ball was strong.  After a break down the left from Jed, a pass inside to Aidan, who then laid the ball off to Oisin on the right who was then clean through on goal, who calmly slotted home to make it 1-0 after 5 minutes.

5 minutes later Oisin, who was industrious down the right all game, broke down the right after being fed by Josh.  Oisin laid the ball into Marco on the edge of the area, who held the ball up strongly, turned and shot and ball went in off the left post to make it 2-0.  Great finish.

From a throw-in on the left in the Caterham’s half the ball broke inside and was collected by Aidan, and after beating a couple of challenges hit a strong finish into the bottom left right hand corner to make it 3-0 to Teddington after 20 minutes.

After a period on consistent pressure by Caterham and a series of corners, the ball broke to their no.9 who coolly slotted home to make it 3-1 before half-time.

After half-time Caterham started on the attack, however, with a strong clearance and again great hold up play by Marco, the ball was played to the right with Finley and Oisin playing well down the right with Aidan.  The ball was then laid to Marco on the right hand side of the box, with a switch to his left foot slotted the ball home to make it 4-1.  After a further 5 minutes a carbon copy move down the right the ball fell to Marco who completed his hat-trick and score to 5-1.

The game was nearing the end when Jed lost possession on our left, however with great fought repeatedly to win the ball back.  He then played it first time down the flank to Ollie, who crossed to Marco who slotted home first time into the bottom right corner.  A great team goal which epitomised the strong team performance.

4 goals for Marco made him man-of-the-match.
